Welcome to the Debra Paget and Jeffrey Berg Business Simulation Laboratory (BSL)
Researchers at the Johnson School use the BSL to present people with realistic business situations, and analyze their behavior in light of psychological and economic models. The results often suggest important modifications to more traditional business models, which typically assume that decisions are affected only by economic factors, and that people never make mistakes. The BSL is used by faculty and doctoral students in all fields at the Johnson School (particularly Accounting, Finance, Marketing and Organizational Behavior). Research conducted in the BSL has been published in top business journals throughout the world, and has also been written up in the New York Times, Smart Money and Newsweek.
